Teaching-Nothing Impossible

Christmas Eve Service

Prayer: Father we come before you now, just giving you all the honor and the praise. For this is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and are glad in it. We love you Lord, and we repent of our sins. If we have done anything in thought word of or action against your will please forgive us. We change our minds and ways of thinking and look to you in the name of Jesus. In this season were we are celebrating your love and the birth of your son Jesus. We thank you for your love, grace, and mercy be with us now as we celebrate the birth of your son in this season of giving.

Scripture: Mark 10:26-27 “And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, Then who can be saved? Jesus looked at them and said, With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God”.

Title: Nothing Impossible for God!

Here we Jesus teaching his disciples, and talking about how it is hard for those who trust in riches to be saved. So the disciples ask him who then can be saved? And Jesus’ reply to them is what is is impossible for man is not impossible for God. That is where we pick up our teaching on today. We see so many today even christians that have made the error of trusting in riches, in there jobs, careers, status, or the money they make. Instead of trusting in God and his kingdom. But we thank God for his mercy and his grace unto us. We thank God that we are saved by his grace, it has nothing to do with self merit but everything to do with Jesus. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

Jesus is the reason for the season, we celebrate Christmas not because of Santa Clause or giving gifts. But we celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus. As we look at his birth, look at how God has done what would seem naturally impossible; a virgin giving birth, The son of God enter the womb of a virgin, Jesus being 100% God and man. We could go on and on. It was a miracle, and what motivated God to do this, what motivated Jesus to accept? We can answer both questions with one word: Love!

We must accept that there is nothing impossible for God. There is nothing too hard for God. Look at all the things that were done in the Bible. Look at how He still performs miracles today, and comes to people face to face! He is so amazing, He is wonderful, He is a mighty God! Let us continue to take the limits off of him, as we show his love, grace, and mercy to others in this holiday season.

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” .
