Seeing is Believing.

One of my favorite subjects in school was English. I love a good story. It's just something about a great story that takes you in, and you are not just reading words or listening to someone talk. You are there in the moment, a good story invites you to become a character in the story. You see what the character's see and feel, you don't just read the book you take a walk through the pages.

Our imaginations are very powerful, its our imaginations that allow us to capture a good story. Not only a good story, but our imaginations help fuel our faith. The word of God must become real, we have to be able to see ourselves in the scripture. We have to allow our imagination to open the eyelids of our faith and take us beyond where we presently are to where the word says we can be.

The truth is not in what we see with our natural eyes, but the truth is what the word of God says we are. The word of God says that the truth will set us free. Imagination is not just for make-believe, but it is the structure in which lays the foundation for hope and hope births faith. If we can only see what is behind us, then we do not have true sight. If your always focused on the past how can you see your future. If your focus is only in the present moment, how can you ever have a hope for tomorrow? Our focus must be well-rounded we must be able to percieve a thing from all angles. I challenge you on today to let your imagination loose with the word of God as its guide: see yourself through the eyes of faith.
