Teaching-Connection

Prayer: Father God we come to you now and we give you all the honor and the praise. We ask that you would cover us in your blood and everyone in this group and our families Lord Jesus. Save us until the end, move by your spirit, we submit and surrender all to you Oh God. Be with us now as we come together to worship and learn of you. You said in your word where two or three are gathered you will be there in the midst. We with us in our hearts and minds, restore our souls, heal us Lord Jesus and have your way. None of us but all of you in all our getting let us get an understanding, in Jesus name Amen.

Scripture: Luke 1:41-”And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost”.

Title:Spiritual Connection

I wanted to take this time, as the Lord led me to this scripture to really talk about spiritual connections. Here we see an true example of a spiritual connection not only between Elisabeth and Mary but between Jesus and John the Baptist who were cousins. This is a perfect illustration and real event that helps us to understand the spirit world and the natural world.

In order for us to be born we must have the breath of life in us, which is God’s spirit, and then we have our mind and heart feelings and emotions, which makes up our soul. These are the ways we can connect with people not just on a surface level or physical level but on a spiritual level. The word of God says how can two walk together unless they agree, even our friendships have a level of soul ties or spiritual connection. To be close to someone and let them into your life on a personal level is forming an agreement with them. If those people are not connected to God or doing things outside of the will of God, it can disturb our walk with God. To the point where we backslide, give a foothold to the enemy, or the spirit that is attaching them begins to attack us. That is why it is so important that we cover ourselves in the blood of Jesus. Pleading the blood of Jesus is not just saying words, but it is a literally covering over us that the enemy cannot touch us because of the work God has done on the cross.

Ephesians 4:7- “And do not give the devil a foothold”.

John 19:30- “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, It is finished, And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit”.

Matthew 28:18- “Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me”.

So we have now established that a spiritual connection can be from God or the devil. The connections from God will bear witness with your spirit, and if you are sensitive to the Holy Spirit you will understand. We must be in relationship with the father the son and the Holy Spirit as well. To neglect one is to neglect all for they all work together in unity.

There is so much more in this text but right now I just want you to understand spiritual connections that it is a true and real thing. John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus by preparing the heart of the people to repent and be saved. Jesus then came along and perfected the work that he started, it was not a competition although we do see where John the Baptist doubted. When it was close to time for him to die. We must not have a spirit of jealousy or competition when our other brothers in Christ are being used, we are one body fitly joined together. Please remember we do everything as unto to the Lord, and to live is Christ and to die is gain(Colossians 3:23 and Philippians 1:21).
