Goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. I have heard mercy defined as, "getting what we do not deserve". The Lord is merciful, he is kind and caring and so very loving. We often times here of the love of the Lord as well as his grace, but we are also so in need of his mercy.
As christians we aspire to be like Jesus. We take his life as a complete example and encouragement for our daily lives. Jesus has shown us so much mercy, in dieing on our behald. Paying the penalty for sin, which we could never pay. That is mercy, and that is the love of Jesus.
We can learn a lesson from Jesus and show others the same mercy. If we can love like Jesus then we can also show mercy like Jesus.
Psalm 136:1 "O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good, for his mercy endureth forever"!
