I have had times when, I had so much joy. Then someone could say something and all of a sudden. I am mad, or sad or in tears, wondering, what happened? It's amazing the effect words can have on us and how words can bring emotions that can only be brought up by certain words. Words are powerful and often times, we do not think before we speak. Or we are so familar with people at times we think we can say anything to them. We should always have respect for people if they are our loved ones, family, or strangers. A part of showing God's love is in the way we speak to people.

Also we have to look at how we react to what is said. We can build up our Holy Ghost muscles to respond instead of react to situations, circumstances, and conversations. I want to share a scripture with you...

Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength".

Emotions come and go, the trick is not to be led by your emotions. I have found a way, to get my joy back. Here is my advice, "Laugh"! Turn that frown upside down, yeah sounds corny but it is so effective. When your mad or sad find something that makes you laugh and you will be surprised of the outcome. Don't let anyone, any demon in hell take your joy. Because when we really, investigate the matter is not the person that "said whatever" to make us mad or sad, it is the enemy that is influencing them. So bypass the person, bypass the words, and have a good laugh at the enemy. Yes words are powerful, but guess what, we don't have to recieve everything we hear!
