Not My Will Lord...

I have had many favorite scriptures growing up, and in times of trouble, heartache, confusion, and spiritual warfare I was able to draw on these scriptures and gain strength.
Scriptures like...
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
Isaiah 54:17
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper..."
At this point in my life, the scripture I find myself standing on most is this...
Luke 22:42
"Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done".
You see it is not about me, it never was, but it is all about completing the will of the Father. The purpose in which I was created for. We all were created with purpose, He has a will for each one of us. We can effect change, we are unique, there is no one like us, and no one can do what you were put on this earth to do. The harvest is so very much, but the laborers are very few! Who will rise and say, not my will, but thy will be done Father. You see it is not about promoting ministry, having the biggest church, the most members, or being known or on TV: it's about God. How far have we gotten from what is really important? Not to say everyone is focused on the superficial or the world. I am asking you, what is your focus, your BF, marriage, sex, drugs, women, drinking, partying, you, money, job, poverty, what you don't have, worry?
Let's face it, we all have gotten off track and distracted one time or another. We all have fell short of his glory whether your a saint or sinner. You have the chance now to change, to switch gears, to refocus, to humble yourself before God.
I have learned that his way is the best way, and he knows whats best. I have felt his love, and been amazed at his grace. He has extended his mercy, when I did not deserve it. He has suffered long with me, and when everyone else failed me, he has been the friend that has stuck closer to me than a brother. You can really trust him completely! He is not a man that he should lie. He is not just there in the goods times, or when your on top, but always. Try him, get closer to him, trust him, open up to him and you will not regret it!
