The Best Relationship!

Perception is everything! When I say "perception" I am not talking about how you view others. I am talking about how you view yourself. The love of God is far reaching, it transcends time and distance. There is nothing that can stop God from loving you. When we receive salvation, we receive Jesus in our hearts through prayer. We denounce satan, and we accept Jesus as Lord. We believe the bible as truth, and the totality of God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Salvation is a wonderful thing, you see Jesus paid the price we could not pay. The payment for sin or disobedience to God is death. Jesus took on that sin, the sins of the world to reconcile us back to God. So the same relationship Adam and Eve had before the fall we can have and so much more. You see it is not by our doing it is just by his amazing grace.

Once you give your life to the Lord and receive salvation, What is next? The next step is to get in a church that preaches the word of God, read you bible, study it, meditate on it. Seek the Lord for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Follow Jesus' example and get baptized, Baptism is symbolic it is an outward expression of what has happened spiritually. Your old life is gone, and you new life has began when you rise from the water. When you accept Jesus, you are new, old things are passed away. As you accept that, you will still have hardships, you will still fight at times with your old lifestyle. Allow the word of God to become your thoughts or in other words allow the word of God to renew your mind. These are all the things you will learn about, as you follow Jesus as you become his disciple.

However the greatest lesson I could give you, is this-relationship. Do not allow yourself to get caught up in traditions but instead get caught up in Jesus. Seek relationship and don't stop till you get it. When you get it, seek even harder to have more of Him. Because when you truly get to know him, you will be changed forever. You will find peace and hope and joy no matter what the circumstance. You would gain a friend that sticks closer than a brother, and a love that is unconditional. The challenge today is build your relationship with Jesus!
