In any relationship, it takes communication to strengthen that relationship. It takes time spent with each other, and as you spend time with each other, you get to know each other and you build a stronger relationship. This principal is the same in friendship, marriage, family; it does not matter what type of relationship it is communication that is the key.

The same is true with our relationship with Jesus, communication is key. Prayer is key. Worship is key. Fellowship with the saints is key. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit is key. Knowing the word of God is key. All these factors work together in building a better relationship with Jesus. But the very foundation is prayer, In order to recieve Jesus as your personal Savior you must pray the prayer of salvation. In order to become his disciple, you must take up your cross and follow him. How can you follow someone, you do not talk too?

Prayer is just having a conversation with the Father through the name of Jesus. For the word says, if any man come to the Father must come through Jesus (John 14:6). This is the very reason why we end every prayer in the name of Jesus. Not only is prayer or communicating with God important, but also declarations. The word of God says, "Thou salt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways"(Job 22:28). We have authority in the name of Jesus, we are Kings and Priest unto the Lord through Christ Jesus according to Revelation 1:6.

According to this truth; there is power in our words, and when we line up our words with the words God; the Holy Scriptures-it shall come to pass.

Therefore as you walk this christian journey, as we run the race, and fight the good fight of faith. We need to not only pray but also decree according to the word of God, and it will be established. Lord your Kingdom Come, You will be done in the name of Jesus, Amen.
