Season

The weather is changing its getting colder outside and the holiday's like Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner. I love this time of year and these Holidays, it's a time to be thankful and spend time with family to appreciate the things we have. We must always be mindful of the timing of God and the season we are in. I am not talking about winter, spring, summer, or fall; but spiritual seasons.

Each of us in our own personal relationship with Jesus are in a season, a spiritual season. And that season sets the timing of God and helps us to discern what we should be doing, or preparing for, or even fighting for. Sometimes we can be in a season of waiting, sowing, wilderness, refining, or purging. There are so many different spiritual seasons, so that's why it is very important that we know what season we are in. So we know how to respond to our current situation and circumstances.

In order to discern the season we are in, we need to seek the Lord through prayer. Prayer is key in our relationship with God. In order to know anyone we must communicate with them and spend time with them. It is the same with our relationship with Jesus we must take time to be with him, get to know him through prayer. Through spending time in His presence, reading the word of God, and gaining strength from fellowshiping with the saints of God. So take the time today to seek the Lord and find out what season you are in.
