We submit to you in all our getting let us get an understanding in the name of Jesus. Be with us now, minister to us and speak to us through your word in the name of Jesus Amen!

Scripture: Daniel 4:8 “But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,”

Title: Your Light Shine!

So we continue our study in the book of Daniel. Today I want to highlight the character of Daniel and what really stood out about him. As we look at the scripture we see that he was known for having the spirit of God within him. What an amazing way to be known, that the spirit of God is with him. Is that not, what we all want as Christians? That we would be led by God’s spirit and Jesus would be seen in our life? We must always remember that God has given us our gifts, talents, and abilities. That he is the Gift-Giver and we must not glorify the “gift” over the Gift-Giver.

The spirit of the Lord should make us stand out, it should make us look different than those who are in the world or unsaved. Not that we are better than them, but how can we win souls for Jesus if we look and act like the world? In today’s society, there are so many attempts to bring things mainstream and to be relatable to the world of technology. A world of texting, social media, and information: even still the Gospel of Jesus and his Kingdom message is universal. Its should not be about, fitting in to this world but bringing Jesus to the world!

After salvation, we must follow Jesus and part of following Jesus is picking up our cross. The cross represents being selfless, and enduring through suffering and making sacrifices for the name of the Lord. Apart of this process of following Jesus is becoming his disciple, being a student and allowing him to be the teacher. Allowing him to be Master while we are the servant. It is a life of surrender to the will of the Father, to the ways Jesus, and submission to the Holy Spirit. It is so so important that we allow God to process us, to purge us, and to refine us. So that we can go to the next level in him. So that we can allow His Spirit to shine through us!

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine!
