Teaching-Tarry

Prayer: Father God we come to now and we ask that you would be with us. Touch us with your spirit, touch every area of our hearts and minds in the name of Jesus. We submit and surrender to you in this house. We love and adore you. Be with us now as we come together to learn of you and worship you in the name of Jesus! Lord we know that there is no time or distance in the spirit so will are asking that you would fill us with your spirit, as we worship you on today. Lord refresh us, build us up where we are weak and give us wisdom were we are strong. Help us to be more mindful of those around us that need to hear the Gospel, need intercession, or need to be encouraged in the name of Jesus. Lord let this word take root in our hearts and multiply in the name of Jesus. Have you way in this group, and in our lives, hearts, minds, and bodies in the name of Jesus. We decree and declare no weapon formed against KMI will prosper and every tongue that rises up against it God will condemn, in Jesus name Amen.

Scripture:Acts 28:14- “Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome”.

Before I get into the word, I just want to say I am so grateful for all of you. For you love, support, and prayers. God continue to bless and keep you all. Now let’s getting into the word of God. Here we have a familiar passage in the background text, where Apostle Paul is bitten by a viper and shakes the snake into the fire. The people assume he is a God when they first thought that he was a murderer. I just want to point out here that we can not go by people’s opinion of us, what they think of us, we must always be motivated by the word of God. We must always be motivated by our relationship with Jesus. People can love you one day and hate you the next. So we do not judge our ministries or our relationship with God by the thoughts of others. Nor do we go out our way to please everyone. I am not saying don’t show the Love of God or be mean to people. I am saying do not let your decision or how you feel about yourself be based on your friends, family, or how people view you. Let your confidence come from who you are in Christ Jesus!

Now getting to our text, I wanted to focus on one word in the text and that word is “tarry”. According to the bible dictionary, to tarry means; to stay, to abide, to lodge, to stay behind, to stay in expectation, or wait, to delay, to remain, and to wait for. In this scripture, tarry means to abide and to lodge.

One of the greatest ways to build any relationship is communication. We communicate with God through prayer. I get many people from Facebook and Twitter and those that visit my website and ask for prophecies. That is fine, when we need direction or guidance from the Lord its ok to seek a Prophet. But anytime you get a prophecy even from me, pray about confirmation before you move. A prophetic word should be a confirmation of what God has already spoken to you. However a Prophecy can come before God speaks, so it is important to seek confirmation from God after any prophecy. Confirmation is like God validating, Yes I said this through a Prophet, and Yes Follow the instructions because it came from ME. However the Lord will never tell you to do anything outside of his word. He may ask you to do things that might not make sense to you, or you do not understand, but as long as you know it is God be obedient.

I really felt lead to talk about tarrying because it is not really used in the house of God that much. When we tarry we might be on the altar, repeating Jesus, Jesus, Jesus for deliverance, or receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As we grow in maturity we can seek the Lord for ourselves, and we do not need to ask a Prophet. To be in an intimate relationship there is no third person involved, it is just you and the other person. A couple is two people in a relationship. In the same respect you and Jesus are in a relationship, as you mature in Christ and get closer to Him, You will understand how to discern and follow the Holy Spirit. The current movement of God in the earth today is, face to face ministry which means that you can see Jesus face to face (Ezekiel 43). I know that may seem impossible but it is not, all things are possible if you believe (Genesis 18:14). Nothing is too hard for God(Jeremiah 32:27).

My point in saying all of this is we can learn, many things through tarrying in the spirit, which could mean praying in tongues only, worshiping the Lord, and just taking time to pray and listen for God’s answer. So many times we rush in the presence of the Lord and then rush out. The Lord does not want a fling with us, He wants a relationship. I am encouraging you all to seek the face of Jesus, get closer to him and tarry in his presence.

The Lord has shown me that this is a month of sowing. This is a resurrection month being the third month of the year. The Lord make take us in the valley this month, but before the month is out we will see his glory. So if this ministry has been a blessing to you, I ask that you would sow a seed in multiples of three, Amen? If you have already sewed this week or this month then this is not for you. But as the Lord touches your heart please sow, it does not have to be to this ministry but you can sow wherever you are lead, as long as it is good ground. Let God lead you. The Lord has shown me that any seed sown to this ministry or Joshua Media Ministries International will receive a thousand fold return, according to the word in Deuteronomy 1:11-”May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised”!
